New small Chevrolet SUV will available for buyer in spring 2013

Chevrolet is to introduce a new small SUV called the Trax at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. It’s set to go on sale in Spring 2013, and Chevrolet promises it will offer "flexibility, great fuel economy, and car-like handling." The latest news on Chevrolet Trax, an all-new small sport utility vehicle released 14 May. It will join the Chevrolet global portfolio and make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.

It's similar in size and shape to the Vauxhall Mokka, with which it is likely to share various mechanical comonents, including engines. The Trax will arrive in dealerships shortly after the Cruze station wagon and the Malibu, a Mondeo sized saloon car, both of which are due at the end of 2012. We expect it to be priced from around £15,000, allowing it to compete with the Nissan Qashqai.

This new Chevrolet compact crossover SUV will be introduced to 140 countries, but the U.S. isn't one of them. Even Mexico and Canada will get the new five-passenger hauler, so we'll be able to see them from here, just not buy one. In fact, Mexico and Canada will be the first markets to get the Trax later this year.

Marketing plan General Motors has for the good-looking new Chevrolet Trailblazer mid-size SUV that shares bits with the new Colorado mid-size pickup. It goes on sale starting in Thailand next month. "The Trax provides Chevrolet an entry into a growing small SUV segment and delivers the flexibility, great fuel economy and car-like handling that urban explorers around the world require," said Mary Barra, GM's chief global product planner in a statement.
