Kia release new Carens MPV for Paris 2012

New MPV come into vehicle market from Kia. The latest news on Kia new Carens MPV for Paris 2012 is released.

Kia officials say they will reveal the all-new Carens compact MPV at the Paris Motor Show on September 27, completing the modernisation of its model range. Set to take on the Vauxhall Zafira and Ford C-Max, the new Carens is previewed here in sketch form – which gives us a first look at the people carrier's 'completely fresh' design.

Kia says it has a more cab-forward monospace design, in contrast to the more car-like current car, while both a low roofline and longer wheelbase further enhance the proportions. Extra style is provided by a bigger set of wheels and a premium-look chrome 'beltline' accent. Star Kia designer Peter Schreyer has ensured his signature Kia features are shown here too, including the tiger nose grille, swept back headlights and strong side body featurelines.

Kia reckons the swoopy new look demonstrates the theme 'dynamic space': hopefully the production car will look as sporty and Ford S-Max-inspired as these sketches. The Carens is the last Kia to benefit from the touch of former Audi man Schreyer: the firm has recently ditched the slow-selling Sedona large people carrier, the only other 'non-Schreyer Kia'.
