May 7, Chrysler Group recalled 119,000 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 Models
Chrysler Group announced that it's recalling more than 119,000 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 cars from model years 2011 and 2012 for potential problems with anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control. An electrical glitch could cause these systems to fail, which could mean that electronic vehicle control aids won't work.
May 9, BMW Recalls 2012 3-Series, and Stop Sale
BMW is recalling some 2012 3-Series models due to front-seat head restraints that fall short of federal safety standards. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the affected 3-Series "have front seat head restraints that exceed the downward movement limit of 25mm in the highest position." In total, about 7,600 BMW 3-Series are affected, which were built between Oct. 19, 2011 and March 18, 2012.
May 11, 3 times vehicle recall, Ford Recalls F-150, Mustang, Windstar, Expedition and Lincoln Navigator
Ford has issued recalls on multiple vehicles to address potential safety concerns. The first recall involves about 10,500 vehicles, including certain 2011-2012 F-150 trucks, 2012-2013 Mustang cars and 2012 Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs for a faulty transmission range sensor that affects reverse gear.Ford will notify owners and begin performing the necessary repairs free of charge on or about June 25.
The second recall involves about 23,000 Ford Windstar minivans from the 1999-2003 model years that were originally sold or are now registered in Virginia.Ford will notify owners and begin making the repairs free of charge starting on or about June 18.
The third recall, "Ford also is recalling 9,400 Windstars in Puerto Rico because the rear axles can crack and break under repeated heavy loads," according to the Associated Press. This recall affects 1998-2003 Windstars, and Ford will start repairing vehicles on or about May 21.

May 18, 53,000 Acura TL Sedans Recalled for Power Steering Problems
Honda is recalling nearly 53,000 Acura TL cars for possible problems with their power steering systems. The recall affects TL sedans from model years 2007 and 2008, although no accidents or injuries have been reported.
Honda says that it will begin mailing notifications to Acura TL owners in mid-June and dealers will replace the power steering hose with a new heat-resistant hose for free. May 22, Jeep Wrangler Recalled for Fire Hazard
Chrysler Group is recalling Jeep Wrangler SUVs from the 2010 model year for a potential fire hazard. About 67,872 Jeep Wrangler models with an automatic transmission are included in the safety recall. The Wrangler's "transmission skid plate, which is close to the catalytic converter, can collect debris," the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.
In the affected 2010 Jeep Wranglers, Chrysler Group has received "at least 14 reports of fires," CNNMoney reports. Chrysler Group will contact affected Jeep Wrangler owners this month, and Jeep dealers will replace the transmission skid plate with a skid bar for free. Owners can call Chrysler Group at 1-800-853-1403 or NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236.
